Little Camas Reservoir
The Lake
Little Camas Reservoir is a small impoundment of 1200 acres.
It is deepest near the dam, about 25 feet.
This lake is a good little trout fishery. Drought can drop the water
levels. Ice fishing is popular.
Reach this little gem by driving North on Hwy 20, from Mountain Home
about 25 miles.
The Fish
Rainbow Trout. This lake is well stocked when there is enough water for the fish.
If the water lasts trough the winter the over wintering Trout will be nice sized!
The lake is very fertile with a lot of food for the fish. The Trout are usually
fat with nice pink flesh.
There may be some smallmouth bass in there too.

Fishing Report: Ice fished on 20-24 inches of ice.
The bite is slow but it is there. Waxworms seemed to get more bites than
anything else. Don't suggest a hand auger, the gas auger was struggling.

Camas is fishing great!
Dad and I caught our limits of
nice trout in about 3 hours. Fishing from the bank, using
nightcrawlers, marshmallow, and fishy scent. Dad liked the green colored
marshmallows and the salmon flavored scent. We kept the bait about 30 inches
up off the bottom, as there is a little moss.
We didn't feel guilty about keeping all the fish because the Fish and Game
says there will likely be no water in the reservoir at the end of the summer.
So get up there. It is a great place for the kids to fish.

Amateur fisher, went to little camas 6-25-07. Lake level
was very low and seemed to be drying quickly. Had to hike through about 40 or
so yards of foot deep mud to get to the water, and then wade another 20 yards
into the water to get to about knee deep. It would have been better if I
would have been wearing waders! Caught alot of moss on each cast, so it
took some creativity to avoid it. I did see some fish jump but they were
too far out for my cast.
I think the only way to get to them is by boat now! Hope this helps!
